Treatment Foster Care Program

The Treatment Foster Care Program is a tri-agency program co-sponsored by the Catholic Childrens Aid Society of Hamilton, the Children's Aid Society of Brant and Lynwood Hall Child & Family Centre.

The program's purpose is to provide children and their foster parents with a home-based treatment service that is less intrusive than residential treatment or other institutional placement. The program supports children and families who are experiencing significant emotional, behavioural and/or relationship difficulties.

This program services children and youth ages 0-18. It serves children and youth in their homes, schools and communities. In addition, the TFC program can be used to transition children and youth out of out of home placements and when appropriate back to the care of their natural families. The TFC program also works with children and youth placed in kinship care situations.

This program is only available to children and youth in the care of the two sponsoring Children Aid Societies.

Referral to the program may be made through the appropriate Children's Aid Society.
